Crafting[edit]

Version 0.13.0: This article may not be up to date for the latest version of Isleward.

Crafting modifies equipment using crafting materials. To craft, players need to interact with an Enchanting Shrine by pressing U while next to the shrine. An Enchanting Shrine can be found in Birgir's Enchanting Shop in Fjolgard.

6 crafting mechanisms are available in the Enchanting Shrine. To craft, select an action, select an item, and have the required materials in your inventory, then press Craft.

Runes can be crafted through runecrafting.

Crafting Mechanisms[edit]

There are 6 crafting mechanisms available.

Note: Some special items cannot be crafted in certain ways.

Augment Stats[edit]

Adds a random stat to an item. Items can hold a maximum of three augments.

Augmentation uses Crafting Materials gathered from salvaging to add random stats to equipment. The type of material required depends on the type of the equipment, and higher quality items require more materials to augment. Armor and weapons typically use Iron Bars, Cloth Scraps, and Leather Scraps. Trinkets use Essences of the same quality as the item. Fishing rods use Cerulean Pearls.

An item can be augmented up to 3 times. The current number of augments is shown with green + signs in the item's tooltip. The material cost increases after each augment.

Level also matters while augmenting, as the maximum values for stats are higher at higher levels. For this reason, it's sometimes recommended to save materials and idols until max level to craft.

The materials required for gear augmentation is Q * 15 * 2 ^ N, where Q is the quality (1 for Common, 2 for Magic, ..., 5 for Legendary), and N is the number of augmentations on the item.

Fated Reroll Stats[edit]

Rerolls a single explicit stat (randomly chosen) on a magic or better item. The reroll has a chance to roll multiple times based on the value of the stat that's chosen.

Requires 1 Dragon-Glass Idol.
Randomizes one explicit stat on an item, with a chance to increase or decrease the number of rolls on that stat depending on the perfection value. Does not affect augments, implicit stats, infused stats or item effect stats.

Ascend Common Item[edit]

Create Arcane Idol[edit]

Combine Arcane Fragments to create an Arcane Idol.

Requires 10 Arcane Fragments.
Creates one non-infused arcane idol.

Create Charged Arcane Idol[edit]

Extract a random stat from items. These items will be destroyed and you will receive a [Charged Arcane Idol] containing the extracted stat.

Requires 1 Arcane Idol and 3 qualifying items.
The qualifying items must be items of epic or legendary rarity and must all share at least one explicit stat type (does not include augments, infused stats or implicit stats).
Items with faction requirements and unique items with item effect stats are not qualified to use.
Qualifying items are destroyed in the process.
A charged stat type is selected from the pool of explicit stat types. (All qualifying explicit stat types are given a weighting of one.)
Creates a Charged Arcane Idol containing the charged stat type.

Infuse Item[edit]

Requires 1 item to infuse and 1 Charged Arcane Idol.
Adds a stat of randomized value to an item.
The stat type added is dependent on the type of Charged Arcane Idol used.
Each item is limited to having only 1 infused stat at a time.

History[edit]

  • Prior to v0.16.0.17 Ascending Idols increased an item's level and Dragon-Glass Idols re-slotted an item's type.
  • Prior to v0.1.10, augmentation could fail and a failure removes all augmented stats from the item. Scouring was available with a low material cost.
  • Prior to v0.3.0, reslot did not remove any augmented stats.
