Guide[edit]

Player Opinion: This article contains advice from other players which may be subjective or incorrect. Consult this guide with caution.

In combat, Lynxes typically use weapons that scale damage with Dexterity, like the dagger and spear which allow the Lynx to deal melee damage, and the bow which allows the Lynx to deal damage from a distance, much like the Owl. Lynxes generally use runes that scale damage with Dexterity, like Ambush for stun, moving close up for melee attacks and damage and Smokebomb for AoE and DoT damage. Lynxes, however, are not obligated to use these runes, as every rune offers its own functions, pros and cons and opportunities for better builds. You can consult the Advanced Guide to aid you in your rune and stat choice.

Lynxes generally fall into three categories:
Ranged, much like the Owl for damage with maintained distance. Lesser damage than its melee counterpart but takes much less damage.
High damage, single/multiple target invaluable assets that greatly increase overall dpt.
Tanks, which use dodge and block chance to reduce damage. Lesser damage than the melee counterpart but capable of prolonged attack without much reliance on healers.

Lynxes are unique, in the sense that they are incredibly versatile and capable of playing almost all types of builds. Lynxes however do not have a dedicated healing source unlike the Bear or Owl, meaning that unless the Lynx adopts a method of heal/resist like Harvest Life, Heal Touch, Armor or Life on Hit, they will be unable to attack without the support of a Healer.

For more detail on rune and stat choice and specific builds, consult the Advanced Guide.
