Nyxaliss
Version 0.12.0: This article may not be up to date for the latest version of Isleward.
Nyxaliss
Nyxaliss is the boss in the Temple of Gaekatla found in the far right section of the final room. It is highly advised to face her with a large group, as her array of powerful attacks and debuffs can be punishing for solo players. Her attacks include a basic ranged spell, spiked cage, Vile Brood spawn, and a burrow attack.
Attacks
The basic ranged spell is the most common attack, as well as the least dangerous. Nyxaliss will shoot bursts of 3 moderately damaging projectiles very rapidly during this stage. The projectiles are single-target.
During Nyxaliss's basic attack, there's a chance for a spiked cage to spawn around a player. This spiked cage will stun as well as weaken the player's attack damage if the player is left inside the cage for its full duration. Given the state of the player being stunned, you will require a second player to damage the spikes until they break, releasing the player inside.
Nyxaliss also has a chance to spawn vile broods. These broods are unkillable by the players and will deal high melee damage to a player for the entire boss fight.
Nyxaliss's dig attack enables her to temporarily exit the fight, leaving behind a trail of particles on the floor to mark where she dug too. However, these particles subsequently spawn a wave of highly damaging spikes. If these spikes strike a Vile Brood, the creature will be instantly eliminated.
Drops
This Drop can occur in addition to normal loot.

Strategy
Player Opinion: This article contains advice from other players which may be subjective or incorrect. Consult this guide with caution.
In order to beat Nyxaliss, you will likely need the following three archetypes:
-A High health and high-defense bear can absorb the majority of attacks by using the Rune of Taunt to draw agro to itself. They can also be tasked with aggroing the vile brood and standing on the dig spikes to eliminate them.
-A high dpt AoE lynx can deal the majority of the damage to Nyxaliss, as well as free other players from the spike cages to prevent them from getting debuffed.
-A high-heal owl can bring auras such as Tranquility as well as a healing spell such as Consecrate to keep everyone at max health for the entire fight.
Tips
- In order to enter the temple as a group, you will need to create a party outside of the temple, then have the party leader enter first. This may not work the first time and can require a little bit of messing around.
- It is advised for one player to bring a Rune of Barbed Chain to the fight. If Nyxallis dies while she is standing on a cage spike, the loot that she drops will get glitched and cant be picked up by the players. The barbed chain can be used to pull her off of these spikes.
