The '''Akarei''' are a [[faction]] with the name
The Akarei
.
The description is
The last descendents of the ancient Akarei.

It has no relations or rewards, but has a unique stat and sells [[equipment]] with a chance to cast a lightning bolt when you critically hit an enemy.

Players can improve their reputation with the Akarei by collecting [[Digested Crystal]]s from [[Crystal Snail]]s and [[Crystal Whelk]]s and giving them to [[Thaumaturge Yala]] deep within the [[Crystal Caves]].
The Akarei will attack [[Crystal Snail]]s, [[Crystal Whelk]]s, and [[Radulos]] when hit by their attacks.
Thus running towards the Akarei when being pursued by other enemies of the Crystal Caves, especially Radulos, can help players survive.

== Lore ==
{{Spoiler}}
The Akarei need digested crystals to power their portal to return their home city of Iskar, which they suspect may be under attack from a darkness that is consuming their defenses.
The Akarei were sent here by the Iskar council to find a new source of energy for their magic dome, "a bulwark of pure energy", to protect Iskar.
The crystals in the Crystal Caves are highly energized, but too unstable in their natural form to be useful.
The crystal snails that inhabit the cave process the crystals into a more stable form which can be used by the Akarei.
Thaumaturge Yala is the thirty-fourth in line to the throne of the Akarei.

''NOTE: This Lore is 100% real. You can recreate the story by talking with [[Thaumaturge Yala]].''

== [[Lord Squash]] ==
[[Lord Squash]] is a level 10 pumpkin-shaped boss that spawns every two hours starting from 12:00 PM UTC and does not disappear until defeated.
He spawns at a pair of stairs near the [[Flamingo|flamingos]] on [[Fjolarok]], but will chase players in combat.

[[Lord Squash]] has 66550 health. During the fight he will spawn yellow and purple candies, which can be collected by walking over them. For a short period of time, the yellow candies give frenzy, while the purple candies give life drain. Lord Squash attacks using the special
Scatter Pumpkin Pieces
skill, which hits all players who are in combat with Lord Squash. For lower-level characters, it is recommended to fight in a [[Party|party]] with at least one [[Rune of Healing Circle]] equipped.

==Rewards==
Defeating Lord Squash will provide the following rewards:
* 30-60 [[Candy Corn]] (100%)
* [[Haunted Ice Spear]] [[MTX]] (4%)

==Dialogue==
Periodically, Lord Squash will make announcements in the chat:
*
Souls! Souls! Delicious Souls!

*
*Gobble Gobble Gobble*

When [[Angler Nayla]] appears next to the dock north of the Hermit's Shack, players can participate in the fishing competition by catching Ancient Sun Carp at locations where players normally catch [[Sun Carp]].
The competition gives players 10 minutes to prepare, and then 10 minutes to fish.
The player who caught and handed in the largest [[Ancient Sun Carp]] earns [[Angler's Mark|Angler's Marks]], which can be exchanged for better [[Fishing#Fishing Rods|fishing rods]] and [[Crafting Material|Cerulean Pearls]], which are used to augment fishing rods. [[Crafting Material|Cerulean Pearls]] cost 4 [[Angler's Marks]] each, whereas [[Fishing#Fishing Rods|fishing rods]] cost different amounts of [[Angler's Marks]] depending on their rarity.
The top three entrants win [[Angler's Marks]] (35, 20 and 10) which can be traded in for [[Crafting Material|Cerulean Pearls]], [[Fishing#Fishing Rods|Common Fishing Rods]], [[Fishing#Fishing Rods|Magic Fishing Rods]] and [[Fishing#Fishing Rods|Rare Fishing Rods]].
Players must use the [[Fishing#Fishing Rods|Competition Rod]] to participate, which can be obtained from [[Angler Nayla]] for free, thus obviating the need to buy a [[Fishing#Fishing Rods|Flimsy Fishing Rod]] from the [[Hermit]].
== Editing the Wiki ==
To make changes to the wiki, you must [[Special:CreateAccount|register]] an account. Note that this account is not related to your in-game account.

See [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Formatting MediaWiki Formatting Help] for the syntax used by Isleward Wiki.

If you have any questions regarding wiki, feel free to ask in the
#wiki
channel on [https://discord.gg/gnsn7ZP Discord].

== Guidelines ==
; Player Guides
: The wiki should provide facts about Isleward that are verifiable by others. Guides based on player experience should be marked with
<nowiki>{{{OB}}}</nowiki>
(opinion-based) so they are distinguished from other information. Guides that are specific to an article (e.g. how to defeat a boss) should have its own section in the page, while guides that are pages on their own should be in [[:Category:Guides]].
; Game Version
: Each page should be tagged with the predefined template
<nowiki>{{Version0110}}</nowiki>
(for v0.1.10),
<nowiki>{{Version019}}</nowiki>
(for v0.1.9), etc to indicate the game version the content refers to. This makes it clear for readers to know if they are reading up-to-date information. The version template should go below the header of the page and before the main content starts. For contents with undetermined version, use
<nowiki>{{VersionUnknown}}</nowiki>
, and use
<nowiki>{{Unreleased}}</nowiki>
for unreleased contents.
; Stubs and Work-in-progress
: Add the template
<nowiki>{{stub}}</nowiki>
at the end of a page if it only contains a few sentences and needs to be expanded. Use
<nowiki>{{wip}}</nowiki>
if the page is actively being worked on, meaning you are going to finish it soon. If you are no longer working on a page but it is incomplete, mark it with stub instead.
; Article Structure
: If possible, adhere to the following structure for a page on the wiki:

= Title =
{{VersionXXX}}
{{Item/Monster Templates}}
A brief description of the subject.

== Subsection 1 ==
The detailed description on a particular aspect of the subject.

== Subsection 2 ==
...

== Guides ==
{{OB}}
Add how-to, tutorials, tips and tricks here.

== See Also ==
Links to related articles.

== History ==
A list of changes to the subject in old game revisions.

{{stub}} or {{wip}}
[[Category:XXX]]

; Categories
: Add pages to appropriate [[Special:Categories|categories]] whenever applicable.
; Images
: Sprites should have transparent backgrounds, and preferably extracted from game assets rather than taking screenshots.
: Use
<nowiki>[[File:Missing.png]]</nowiki>
as placeholders for missing images.

== Formatting & Styling ==
* Insert spaces between the header title text: use
<nowiki>= This =</nowiki>
rather than
<nowiki>=That=</nowiki>
.
* Tables should use
<nowiki>class="wikitable"</nowiki>
. Insert spaces around cell contents so it is easier to read.
* Use proper punctuation.
* When referencing keys or in-game text, wrap it with
<nowiki>

</nowiki>
. For example: press
I
to open the inventory; then right click on an item and select
drop
.
* Abbreviations should be fully spelled out in the first occurrence in an article with a link to the subject.
* Use
<nowiki>{{issue|number}}</nowiki>
to create links to Isleward's GitLab issue.

== Extensions ==
This wiki has two extensions.
* [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Nuke Nuke]
* [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Moderation Moderation]
== Templates ==
{{wip}}

<nowiki>{{collapse|content|channel}}</nowiki> will create a [Toggle] button that, when clicked, hides or reveals the
content
of the collapsible section.
content
is the wiki content that should appear after clicking [Toggle], and
channel
is an ID of sorts (for example,
1
,
2
, or
3
) that toggle together (if multiple toggles are on the same channel, they will collapse and reveal together).

<nowiki>{{monster}}</nowiki> will create a preformatted table (for example, the monster info table in the [[Crab]] page) with data on the monster. It uses named parameters to get the needed data. The parameters are
monstername
,
filename
,
level
,
attack
,
mana
,
armor
,
drops
, and
location
. If you put the monster tag at the beginning of the page it will also automatically make a header with the monster's name. All the fields are basically just text that gets copied into the table, but the only different one is the
filename
, defaulting to
missing.png
, that is displayed in the table with the proper image.

<nowiki>{{ReqBlockUserSpam}}</nowiki> Use for users that need to be blocked because of spam.

<nowiki>{{PTNTBD}}</nowiki> Stands for pages that need to be deleted. When using this this template make sure to a Reason.
The item tag also needs documenting, but I'll get around to that later.

<nowiki>{{Version0110}}</nowiki> Should be used for pages that are up to date as of Version 0110.

<nowiki>{{Version019}}</nowiki> Should be used for pages that are up to date as of Version 019.

<nowiki>{{Version018}}</nowiki> Should be used for pages that are up to date as of Version 018.

<nowiki>{{Unreleased}}</nowiki> This template should be used for unimplemented content.

<nowiki>{{BadImage}}</nowiki> Used for images that are not from the CSS.
Ironhorn is a level 5 [[Monster#Rare Monsters|rare monster]] that can be found on [[Fjolarok]]. It is a stronger version of an [[Elk]], and occasionally spawns in place of one. Ironhorn can be identified from a regular Elk by the square marking around it. Ironhorn is able to use skills normally used by players, thus rendering some Ironhorns more dangerous than others.

Like other rare monsters, Ironhorn always drops magic items or better, and thus it is recommended to fight Ironhorn in a group, decreasing the difficulty of the battle and enabling multiple players to obtain loot.

: Each page should be tagged with the predefined template
<nowiki>{{Version0110}}</nowiki>
(for v0.1.10),
<nowiki>{{Version019}}</nowiki>
(for v0.1.9), etc to indicate the game version the content refers to. This makes it clear for readers to know if they are reading up-to-date information. The version template should go below the header of the page and before the main content starts. For contents with undetermined version, use
<nowiki>{{VersionUnknown}}</nowiki>
, and use
<nowiki>{{Unreleased}}</nowiki>
for unreleased contents.
; Stubs and Work-in-progress
: Add the template
<nowiki>{{stub}}</nowiki>
at the end of a page if it only contains a few sentences and needs to be expanded. Use
<nowiki>{{wip}}</nowiki>
if the page is actively being worked on, meaning you are going to finish it soon. If you are no longer working on a page but it is incomplete, mark it with stub instead.
; Article Structure
: If possible, adhere to the following structure for a page on the wiki:

= Title =
{{VersionXXX}}
{{Item/Monster Templates}}
A brief description of the subject.

== Subsection 1 ==
The detailed description on a particular aspect of the subject.

== Subsection 2 ==
...

== Guides ==
{{OB}}
Add how-to, tutorials, tips and tricks here.

== See Also ==
Links to related articles.

== History ==
A list of changes to the subject in old game revisions.

{{stub}} or {{wip}}
[[Category:XXX]]

; Categories
: Add pages to appropriate [[Special:Categories|categories]] whenever applicable.
; Images
: Sprites should have transparent backgrounds, and preferably extracted from game assets rather than taking screenshots.
: Use
<nowiki>[[File:Missing.png]]</nowiki>
as placeholders for missing images.

== Formatting & Styling ==
* Insert spaces between the header title text: use
<nowiki>= This =</nowiki>
rather than
<nowiki>=That=</nowiki>
.
* Tables should use
<nowiki>class="wikitable"</nowiki>
. Insert spaces around cell contents so it is easier to read.
* Use proper punctuation.
* When referencing keys or in-game text, wrap it with
<nowiki>

</nowiki>
. For example: press
I
to open the inventory; then right click on an item and select
drop
.
* Abbreviations should be fully spelled out in the first occurrence in an article with a link to the subject.
* Use
<nowiki>{{issue|number}}</nowiki>
to create links to Isleward's GitLab issue.

== Templates ==
{{wip}}

<nowiki>{{Version0110}}</nowiki> Should be used for pages that are up to date as of Version 0110

<nowiki>{{Version019}}</nowiki> Should be used for pages that are up to date as of Version 019

<nowiki>{{Version018}}</nowiki> Should be used for pages that are up to date as of Version 018
