Version 0.16.0[edit]

Released on January 25th, 2025. The original release notes are accessible on GitLab.

Foreword[edit]

  • This will not be the final balance. Many things will still be tweaked based on feedback and more tests done by Waf.
  • Many zones have also been re-balanced and tweaked. Again, this is not final.

Performance[edit]

  • The Physics Engine and Pathfinder have been replaced by modules built in Rust (better performance)
  • The Static File Server has been replaced by a Rust server (better performance)

Features[edit]

  • New item stats: Added Attack Damage and Added Spell Damage that adds flat (un-scaled) damage to all attacks and spells
  • Upon logging in, all your items will receive new internal stats that record how perfectly its stats are rolled. These stats are versioned and will be used in the future to perform auto-rebalance when IWD balance changes again
  • Three new item name prefixes have been added: Mystic, Riven, and Moon
  • Three new item name suffixes have been added: Purge, Cleaver (weapons only) and Moon

Balance[edit]

  • Passive health regeneration now gets a 5% increase from the Health Regeneration item stat. Down from 20%
  • When gaining health from the Life on Hit item stat, the life gained is now divided by 20 / Rune Cooldown
  • Innervate now grants the user ceil((playerHealth / 100) * runeRegenPercentage) * 20), up from floor((playerHealth / 100) * runeRegenPercentage)
  • When a rune has no cast time, attack/cast speed will reduce its cooldown by ceil(runeCooldown * (1 - (attackOrCastSpeed / 100)))

More Stat Changes[edit]

  • Resistances can now start appearing on gear starting at level 7, down from 15
  • Increased Element / Spell / Physical percent increase can now start appearing on gear from level 1, down from 10
  • Increased Element / Spell / Physical percent increase can now appear on any items (only necklaces and rings before)

Heals[edit]

  • Healing Touch cooldown is now 6, up from 5. Cast time is now 4, up from 3. Max healing at 23 is 3.5, old max for 20 was 3
  • Consecrate max roll at 23 is 0.53, old max at 20 was 0.5. Max duration is now 12, down from 13
  • Innervate roll ranges are now [0.2, 0.8], down from [0.3, 1.5]

Mobs[edit]

Before, mobs received random items and had their health multiplied by MobHealthMultiplier (See next section) and their damage multiplied by MobDamageMultiplier (See section after next). Now, mobs receive a full set of legendary items with only main stat rolled on them with a perfection of 2% per roll for regular mobs, 4% for rare mobs, 4% for dungeon mobs, 5.5% for dungeon rares and 7.5% for bosses.

Mob health is now also multiplied by 2 for regular mobs (up from 1), 5 for rare mobs (up from 3), and bosses have received custom scaling.

Mob damage is now multiplied by 1 for rare mobs (down from 1.5)

  • Added Effect: Scale Damage (20% - 40%)

Cowl of Obscurity[edit]

  • Chance to heal on crit: Range is now [8% - 16%], down from [20% - 60%]
  • Percentage of damage healed on crit: Range is now [1% - 3%], down from [3% - 7%]
